1. Agreement and eligibility
By using the services, creating an account, or accepting these terms electronically, you agree to these Terms of Use and the policies linked from them. Self-service membership is for adults age 18 or older who can enter a binding agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
2. Training information is not medical care
Academy is a fitness-coaching service, not a healthcare provider. Academy content, automated programming, and coach feedback are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescription, physical therapy, rehabilitation, emergency monitoring, or medical clearance. Consult an appropriately licensed healthcare professional before beginning or changing an exercise program when appropriate, especially if you have pain, an injury, a medical condition, are pregnant, or have been advised to limit activity. Stop or modify training and seek appropriate support if symptoms are concerning or worsening. Call 911 or local emergency services for an emergency.
3. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account unless caused by Academy’s failure to use reasonable safeguards. Accounts and memberships may not be sold, shared, or transferred.
4. Permitted use
You may use the services for your personal, noncommercial training. You may not copy or resell program materials; scrape or reverse engineer the service; interfere with security or availability; upload unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or infringing content; impersonate another person; harass another member; solicit business; publish private contact or health information; promote unsafe loading or concealing Pain; provide medical advice; use the community board for emergencies; or otherwise use the service to harm another person.
5. Member submissions and community
You retain ownership of notes and other content you submit. You grant Academy a limited license to host, process, moderate, and display content as needed to operate, secure, and improve the services. Private training information remains visible only to you and authorized coaches. When you deliberately publish a community post or reply, you authorize Academy to display your first or preferred name, submitted text, category, date, optional challenge connection, replies, and encouragement count to other signed-in members with current access. Academy never posts workout logs, Pain reports, recovery information, contact details, or coach notes automatically. You may remove your own visible community content, while Academy may retain limited moderation or safety records and may remove or restrict content that violates these terms. Do not submit content you lack the right to share.
6. Service, execution status, and program changes
Training prescriptions depend on information supplied by the member and are not a guarantee of results. Academy evaluates prescribed working sets from recorded load, repetitions, and execution status; RPE is not required. Solid and Challenging may qualify toward progression, while Needs Work and Pain do not. Pain and recovery entries—including intensity, context, change, and effect on function—are training-safety signals, not medical assessments. A Pain entry blocks progression and points and queues the affected prescription for its next matching workout occurrence. An eligible adult may submit a separate, signed Adult Election only when the applicable response level permits it. A minor cannot self-waive, and Academy may require parent or guardian consent, a medical release, or both. No election or coach decision erases Pain, changes the original workout outcome, restores points, provides medical clearance, or requires Academy to coach activity it considers unsafe. Academy may remove an exercise, require review, decline further instruction, or update features, exercise standards, schedules, or program logic to improve safety and service. Material changes that require renewed consent will be presented before continued member access.
7. Intellectual property
The services, Academy programming, branding, text, design, software, and original content are owned by Academy of Strength LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. Academy of Strength, Strength Is Everything®, and related marks may not be used without permission.
8. Third-party services
Payments, email delivery, hosting, and member-linked video content may rely on third-party services governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Academy is not responsible for third-party services outside its control, but will use reasonable care in selecting and configuring providers.
9. Suspension and termination
Academy may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, material violation of these terms, risk to the service or other users, or unlawful conduct. You may stop using the service at any time; ending use does not by itself cancel recurring billing, which must be managed as stated in the Membership Terms.
10. Disclaimers and limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the digital services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise that they will be uninterrupted or error-free. Academy does not disclaim obligations that cannot legally be disclaimed. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Academy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the digital services. Any limitation does not apply to gross negligence, reckless or intentional misconduct, or other liability that law does not permit Academy to limit.
11. Governing law and severability
California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts with jurisdiction in Orange County, California will be the venue for disputes unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise. If one provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
12. Changes
Academy may revise these terms. The effective date will be updated, and material changes will be presented to signed-in members for renewed acceptance when appropriate.
